Texas Parks and Wildlife
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is a Texas state agency that oversees and protects wildlife and their habitats. In addition, the agency is responsible for managing the state’s parks and historical areas. AAS members can receive waived day use fees and shared camping sites when volunteering in an outreach capacity at public astronomy events.

The Astronomical League
As part of the Astronomical League, AAS members are automatically members of the Astronomical League, a $40 annual savings. AAS members receive a discount on AL partners’ publications, including the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada’s annual Observer’s Handbook.
Night Sky Network and International Dark-Sky Association
Austin Astronomical Society is a member of the Night Sky Network, a network of affiliated clubs that evangelize the vision, science, and technology of NASA’s missions, and is a member of the International Dark-Sky Association, which works to preserve the night skies for present and future generations.
