Our Members Only Star Party for August is this Saturday. We are looking forward to seeing a lot of members take advantage of our unique observing site at Canyon of the Eagles! For those interested, the following activities are scheduled, in addition to nighttime observing:

Fast Track 101: Pushing Astronomy – intro to lunar and planetary viewing, planning viewing, finding objects -> Signup

Starting at 5:30 PM. Fast Track will take AAS members through a series of practical topics and exercises to learn or improve your astronomical skill. Whether you are novice to planning, observing, using astronomical tools, or recording your observations, these events are designed to push you along your path

Members’ EEO Operator Training

Starting at 6:00 PM, Domingo will be training astronomers on our Ealing and Harlan Smith telescopes.

Volunteer afternoon at the Observatory

Starting around 2:00 PM, if you would like to help make the Eagle Eye Observatory a better place, come early to volunteer. A wide range of work needs to be done, and your help is appreciated!
