Our featured speaker will be Sinclaire Manning aka Major Merger from Austin Astronomy on Tap who will give an extended version of her well received talk on Hidden Figures in Astronomy. Adopting the theme from 2017’s movie Hidden Figures about the lady “computers” who without fanfare or acclaim performed crucial calculations for NASA during the formative decade of the U.S. space program. Sinclaire’s talk is a set of biographical sketches of key contributors to Astronomy over the centuries who have gone unsung.
